『How can I tell her』是Lobo的抒情佳作，收錄於『Calumet』這張專輯裡。Lobo本名為Roland Kent Lavoie，出生於1943年7月31日，是1970年相當走紅的美國流行歌手及作曲家，有許多告示排行榜前十名的經典名曲，如1971年告示排行榜（Billboard）第5名、成人榜（Adult Contemporary）冠軍及英國榜第4名的『Me and You and a Dog Named Boo』；1972年告示排行榜亞軍、成人榜冠軍、德國榜冠軍及英國榜第5名的『I'd Love You to Want Me』；1973年告示排行榜第8名及成人榜冠軍的『Don't Expect Me To Be Your Friend』。此首歌曲雖然於告示排行榜僅得第22名，但卻是最為人熟知的歌曲，尤其是在台灣地區，其聲勢遠遠超過Lobo的其他歌曲，由於Lobo的抒情曲風非常合乎台灣人的胃口，因此和Air Supply名列外國藝人來台獻唱的前一、二名的歌手。此首歌曲是有名的劈腿之作，敘述遊走於兩位情人間的矛盾心態，那種難以向人啟齒的劈腿情事，藉由Lobo極度優雅柔和的嗓子娓娓道來，頗令人深感同情，而忘了其遊戲愛情的不倫之恥。『How can I tell her』是英文歌歌友必點的經典之一，有Lobo的原聲原影版，雖然不難唱，但要唱出情境和氣氛卻是很難
