關於The Platters： 中國人習慣上稱之為「五黑寶」合唱團的The Platters，顧名思義， 團員包括了五個黑人歌手，四男一女。這支合唱團成立於1953年，本 來是一支黑人男聲四重唱，由Tony Williams擔任主唱。著名的製作 人Buck Ram非常欣賞他們的和聲，於是跟他們簽下了經紀約，並且 決定替他們增加一位女性團員調和一下，這才變成了五重唱。 1955年的老歌,原來是黑人團體所唱. 當年他們以" Only You"及這首" The Great Pretender ",一鳴驚人地打入國際市場.
